This foreword is attributed to Lili Elbe but since she was so ill at the time the manuscript was being prepared, we suspect Ernst Harthern may be the author. The original could not be located in the Ernst Harthern archive upon our visits. We have transcribed and translated Sabine Meyer’s photocopy from an earlier visit.
