Letters

The letters included here, many by Lili Elbe as well as letters by and to Ernst Harthern (a.k.a. Niels Hoyer), are from two archives: the Poul Knudsen Archive (NKS) in Det Kongelige Bibliotek (The Royal Library), Copenhagen, Denmark; and, the Ernst Harthern Archive (EHA) in the Arbetarrörelsens arkiv och bibliotek (Swedish Labour Movement’s Archive and Library), Huddinge, Sweden. They have been photographed with permission of the libraries by Pamela Caughie and Sabine Meyer, prepared for display by Matthew Gallagher, and transcribed, translated into English, and encoded by members of our Project Team.
